Mum's the word

ree

Here I am today, a wife, mum to three gorgeous kids (and not too shabby husband), and business professional aka Human Resources Manager. I have accomplished so much and have so many things to be proud of. Yet in this current climate I have found myself feeling 'Stressed' and throwing the word around loudly too. It is a word that is used as a catch all some times but it is important to remember there are also good types of stress and most importantly, it is manageable and I of all people should know this right?

"Yet lately I have found myself feeling 'Stressed'."

Pre-wife and baby, I was at a much healthier point both physically and mentally (Not bashing either experience, I wouldn't change them for the world!). So, what happened to change that? Life. It happens to us all and sometimes we get thrown curve balls. Some good and some bad (No one knew 2020 was going to shape out like this). Guess what, it takes time to re-align and adjust yourself to a new way of thinking and managing your 'stress' levels so don't be too hard on yourself. I think by 2021 we will be in a position to see the future and begin shaping it.

I however am ready to start right now! today, no excuses [Daily affirmation]. I am going to prove that any regular mum with a career can manage anything thrown at her mentally or physically. I am going to live my best life to my fullest capacity and push myself to my mental and physical limits. I am going to focus on doing more of what makes me happy, what relieves my bad stressors and acknowledge good stressors. (Crayola on the wall is an expression of art *woosaaaaah)

"don't be too hard on yourself."

So I am starting now with this blog and using this as my first form of relief. I’m starting here by sharing, getting it all out, sharing my opinion from hopefully a non evil 'HR lady' view.

Thank you for listening.
